Our
Story

My love for nature started when I was little — just old enough to hike with my dad. He always inspired me by exposing me to the wild world around us. I’ll never forget the day he pointed to a giant praying mantis and told me it was a fifth-degree black belt. I was terrified… but deeply impressed. That moment — and many like it — left a lasting imprint on my curiosity. Over time, those experiences led me to study Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Arizona. There, my education, creativity, and passion for the natural world came full circle. I was blown away by the field of ecology — not just as a science, but as a way of seeing. Ecology is incredibly interdisciplinary. It touches every field imaginable — biology, chemistry, physics, sociology, even philosophy. At its core, ecology is the study of relationships. It’s not about changing those relationships, like conservation often aims to do. It’s about observing, analyzing, and understanding them. This powerful realization — that we are all the result of countless interwoven relationships — inspired me to start iviewscience. Because if we can better understand those relationships, we can better understand ourselves, our health, our communities, and our planet. At iviewscience, we’re on a mission to unravel the connections that shape our world — through science, storytelling, and a deep love for nature.
